Little extras
Sync across devices
Sync keeps your library the same on every device you own — phone, tablet, computer. Edit something on one, and it appears on the others automatically.
It's private by design. Your projects, photos, and notes are locked on this device before they're uploaded. The sync server only ever sees sealed envelopes — not us, not the server, not anyone can read your data. Only your own devices hold the key.
Pick one of the three options below to get started:
- Set up sync — choose this if this is your first device or you've never enabled sync before. You'll get a 12-word recovery phrase to write down.
- Pair with existing device — choose this if you already have sync on another device and want to add this one using its camera. Fastest option, no typing.
- Restore from phrase — choose this if you have your 12-word recovery phrase written down and want to bring back a library you already had.
Cloud sync is a bridge between your devices, not a backup of them. If you only have one device, export a backup regularly — the relay is not a safety net against a lost phone.
Data
All data is stored locally on your device
Download all your data as a .klib backup file (includes photos)
Restore from a previously exported file
Debug logs
Ring buffer of the last ~2000 events (sync, crypto, Dexie). Share with a developer when something looks wrong.

Automatic local backups
The app saves a snapshot of your library to this device every so often (at most once an hour, when you close or background the app). These live on this device only — they are a last-resort escape hatch if sync ever goes wrong. Up to 7 are kept; the oldest is dropped when a new one is saved.
No automatic backups yet — one will be saved the next time you close the app.
Reset app
Wipes ALL local data on this device — projects, yarns, photos, techniques, settings, sync state. Cannot be undone. Export a backup first if you want to keep anything.
